2019 Is Here

2019 Has Arrived - Our Charity Drive & More

First of all, I must thank those who took the time, the effort and had the heart to donate to our annual charity drive, The Christmas Bureau Pub Crawl.  We had set the goal at $375.00 and topped $400.00.  Congratulations to everyone who participated.

A special thanks to a donation :  In Memory of Jim Markowitch $50.00

The Christmas Bureau Charity Drive Raffle is this coming club night, February 21st !!!  Let’s see if we can top $450.00 (only club members and their guests can win - new PSC By-law)

The Snow Has Arrived in Abundance!!!

Some of you have hit the slopes at Whistler in mid December and again the Whistler Aspens trip in January.  For the month of February, we have Silver Star 2-7, and then it's on to Revelstoke 7-11, followed with the Sun Peaks trip from the 22-25.  There’s more skiing and overnight accommodation in March and April, but you must be a member of the Pacific or Victoria clubs to book.  Don’t miss the year- there are meters of fresh snow out there.
Speaking of meters of snow...I’m sitting here in Lower Austria where we have 5 cm of new from last night and it is still falling all morning.  Part of this province had over 5 meters of snow fall in a 48 hour period, breaking many records.  I went to Mariazell where they had over 2 1\2 meters fall overnight.  Almost everyone was still digging out when I arrived four days later.  Most of the town closed as they had not shovelled their way to the places.  Great for skiers once the avalanches have been knocked down.

As Arnie says, “I’ll be back!” in late February for the club night, February 21st, Toby’s and then we head off for Sun Peaks.  There may be an opening so go to the home page and send me an e-mail if you want to be on the waiting list.  Members only, please.
